Staff and pupils at William Martin Church of England Junior School are delighted with the results from their recent Ofsted inspection, which saw inspectors rate the school as ‘Good’ in all areas.
In their report, inspectors paid particular attention to the highly positive relationships between pupils and their teachers, noting that leaders have been focusing a lot of energy on prioritising the pastoral care of pupils. The reading provision at William Martin also received praise from inspectors, who were impressed by the diverse range of books that pupils are encouraged to read both in and outside of school.
Gina Bailey, Headteacher of William Martin Church of England Infant and Junior School said; “We are particularly excited that Ofsted has recognised our broad and ambitious curriculum, that we have a passion for our children to excel in reading and that our strong pastoral offer remains a key part of the collaborative work we continue to provide with our families and the wider community”.
