Each year, BBC Children in Need raises money to support organisations and project workers across the UK that help vulnerable children overcome the challenges in their lives. Schools across the Vine Schools Trust have been celebrating Children in Need by taking part in a variety of fun events and activities.
The Pupil Parliament at Orsett Church of England Primary School organised a jam-packed week of events. On Monday, children from across the school took part in a challenging obstacle course on the school playground which saw them skipping, hopping and beanbag throwing. Wednesday’s event was wellie wanging, where the children put their welly throwing skills to the ultimate test!
The next day, classes took part in a tense penalty shootout which helped drum up excitement for the upcoming World Cup. To draw the week of activities to a close, the school held a huge danceathon outside, where teachers and students put their best dancing shoes on in aid of Children in Need. The school raised an incredible £380, which will help to support local charities and project workers.
