The pupils at St Nicholas Church of England Primary School have recently taken part in a fun-packed day of activities based on Christian values. After working alongside parents and children, the school relaunched a new set of values that they feel are important to the school community.
To celebrate these values, the pupils spent the day doing a variety of different creative tasks designed to highlight what each value means to them. Whilst several children wrote friendship recipes and produced some fantastic artwork, others performed their own respect raps and even acted out some fun group scenarios.
Xanthe Glynn, Head of St Nicholas C of E Primary School, said;
“As a church school, it is important that we live out our vision and values here at St Nicholas. Therefore, we wanted to relaunch a set of Christian Values which are important to all our stakeholders. We asked the parents and children to get involved with determining our own set of five core Christian Values, which will be at the heart of our school.”
The children really enjoyed the day, and we are impressed with the many creative ways that they engaged with the school’s new values.
