This week, there has been a sense of change in the air. During the month of March we will often see the ongoing battle between the seasons. However, it is clear that winter is now releasing its grip and there are signs of spring all around. This week in school, an incubator for our prospective chicks arrived – that wonderful symbolism of new life to come. The children have been singing hymns and songs giving thanks to God for all the wonderful things that were created by His hands. Singing worship is my favourite time of the week – I love hearing the children’s joy expressed through song. Outside we can see so much of His work and I never tire of the awe and wonder that this brings to the children and adults alike.
As the sun streams through my office window today, everything seems brighter at this time of year and there are so many things to be thankful for.
The mornings and evenings are lighter and brighter; newly formed pink blossom embellishes the trees and the gentle warmth of the sun can be felt on your face – like a reassuring and familiar touch. All around there is a feeling of hope. We know that there are so many less fortunate than us and sometimes when the world is full of noise and chaos, it is in nature’s beauty that we see truly how lucky we are and can be thankful for each new day and every new beginning.
