A group of children from Rivenhall C of E Primary School, accompanied by Headteachers from across the Vine Schools Trust, recently visited Chelmsford Cathedral to welcome the newly appointed Bishop.
The Vine Schools Trust shares a special relationship with the Dioceses of Chelmsford, whose Board of Education created the Trust back in 2013. Both the Trust and the Dioceses make it their mission to enrich the lives of the community through education and Christian values.
The children really enjoyed taking part in the special Diocesan celebration and were very excited to speak with Bishop Guli herself after the ceremony. MP Vicky Ford, Parliamentary Under-Secretary in the Department for Education, also took the opportunity to speak with the children about the ceremony.
Emma Wigmore, CEO of Vine Schools Trust, comments;
“The Vine Schools Trust were delighted to be asked to take part in the special service at Chelmsford Cathedral to welcome the new Bishop this weekend. Our pupils from Rivenhall C of E Primary did such a great job as they took their place at the front of the Cathedral and formally welcomed Bishop Guli. We send Bishop Guli our best wishes as she takes on her new role, and we look forward to working closely with her.”
We are incredibly proud of the respect and enthusiasm that the children brought to the ceremony, and we’re grateful to have been part of such a special day.
