This year has taken off to an incredible start for Orsett Church of England Primary School, which recently received the news that it has been rated ‘Good’ in its latest Ofsted inspection.
Following a series of visits in late November, Ofsted wrote a glowing report of the school praising the dedication of the teaching staff and the enthusiasm of their students. Inspectors commented that staff are “ambitious for all pupils to receive a high-quality education. In particular, pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities receive strong, effective support”. The report also took special note of the school’s fantastic reading scheme, which has helped many of the childrens’ confidence in reading blossom over the year. It was clear to the inspectors that thanks to the enthusiasm of their teachers, the children have learnt how to love books.
Both the school and the local community are thrilled with Ofsted’s latest report, particularly given the difficult year that educational institutions have experienced as a result of the ongoing pandemic.
Emma Wigmore, CEO of the Vine Schools Trust, said “We are so proud of both the staff and children at the school for their hard work and dedication. I particularly loved the section of Ofsted’s report that discussed the kindness and support shown by the students, as these qualities align perfectly with the Trust’s core Christian values”.
