The PTFA at Latchingdon C of E Primary School has recently raised money to decorate and furnish a new Wellbeing/Quiet Area at the school.
It was decided that this previously dull and unused outdoor space could be a great place for children looking to find some peace and quiet. The new space is ideal for those who are struggling and need some time to reflect. The school felt this was very important, especially as the pandemic continues.
The new area is painted with colourful outdoor murals and green flooring, so you feel as though you are in a beautiful field. There is a bench where children can sit under a vibrant rainbow.
The area was officially opened on 2nd November 2021 by Mrs Maggie Minister and the members of the school council. Mrs Minister volunteers at the school by reading with the children and attending Worship Group meetings. She is also a member of Messy Church with close links to Latchingdon Church.
What a wonderful way to refurbish a previously unused area of the school. We hope the children enjoy using this creative and relaxing space. Well done to everyone involved.
