Bulphan C of E Academy and Orsett C of E Primary School recently took part in the Poppy Appeal in Thurrock by helping to create a stunning wall of hand-drawn poppies.
In 2019 they collaborated with Lakeside Shopping Centre to create a poppy wall made of plastic bottles.
This year, the children across both schools drew some beautiful designs and wrote personal thank you messages to all of those who have fought in the Armed Forces.
The schools have loved getting involved with the Royal British Legion’s appeal, and it has been a great opportunity for the children to learn more about Remembrance Day.
We think the poppy mural looks fantastic and we are very proud of the close links our Thurrock schools have with their wider community.
The wall can be found on Level 2 of Lakeside throughout November if you would like to see the display.
