St Nicholas C of E Primary School has recently received a positive Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) Report.
The Church of England Education Office conducted an inspection at St Nicholas and found “The Christian vision of the school is lived out in the supportive environment where all are known, embraced and loved.”
The report emphasised that the “Pupils and staff know themselves to be appreciated as individuals and respect and support each other. This is seen in the modelled behaviour of the adults and the engagement and enthusiasm of the pupils.”
The inspector commented on the school’s outward-looking approach, stating “strong partnerships have been developed to create opportunities and high-quality provision for pupils”.
They observed that “Courageous actions that implement change in policy and practice are well resourced by Vine Schools Trust and embedded by school leaders. As a result of these changes, pupils and staff are flourishing in spirit and in truth.”
The report added, “Carefully planned worship in partnership with pupils and the clergy creates a special time in the school day for pupils and staff. Biblical themes including the vision and values of the school are explored and expanded into the classroom.”
Headteacher, Nikki Emrich, shared “We are very proud to have received such an extremely positive SIAMS inspection.
“I am delighted that the inspection recognised the strong Christian ethos that runs through our school. Thanks to the commitment of our staff, parents, Vine Schools Trust and our community, we are able to provide an environment that is tailored to support the needs and development of all the pupils, enabling them to flourish.”
