Gift for Bishop Stephen from The Vine Schools Trust
The Vine Schools Trust have cherished a supportive and nurturing relationship with Bishop Stephen for many years as our Trust has grown and strengthened. Bishop Stephen has worked tirelessly over the years to show support to our Trust schools and he would often feature as a key guest at many of our Vine Schools Trust events. He has been inspirational in his role as Bishop of Chelmsford, spreading the love of God and leading Churches, schools and their communities.
After 9 years of dedicated work it was announced that Bishop Stephen will be the next Archbishop of York. As a Trust we are incredibly proud of our Bishop and wish him every success in his new role. Bishop Stephen has always showed such valued support to The Vine Schools Trust that we thought it was only right to present him with a gift. Members of the Colne Engaine Primary Community have come together to create a beautiful holding cross.
Julie Sarti, head teacher of Colne Engaine Primary School, and Emma Wigmore, CEO of The Vine Schools Trust, have described the holding cross as a wonderful gift for Bishop Stephen. This gift is something that represents the Christian character of the trust with the personalisation of the Vine leaf. The wood used for the cross was taken from the school which gives a real personal touch and the intricate pattern of the Vine leaves are truly beautiful.
We hope that this is a gift that will forever remind Bishop Stephen of the impact of his work on our Trust schools and the special place he hold in the heart of our Trust leaders.
