We are thrilled to announce that we are finalists in the MAT Excellence Awards!
Our CEO, Emma Wigmore, has been shortlisted in the CEO of the Year category. She has been selected alongside seven other CEOs from Multi-Academy Trusts across the UK.
The MAT Excellence Awards, presented by Optimus Education, are an opportunity to celebrate the achievements and recognise the impact that MATs have on their pupils, staff and communities.
Emma said, “I am incredibly proud to be a finalist for the MAT Excellence Awards. This shortlisting is a testament to the hard work and determination of our entire Trust family.”
Emma has been our CEO since 2020 after previously being a Headteacher and Executive Headteacher within the Trust.
Since 2019, Vine Schools Trust has had a complete strategic overhaul after previously facing financial strain and underperforming schools, with 50% of the schools being considered as ‘at risk’.
Today, the total of ‘at risk’ schools in the Trust has reduced to just 8%. Of the 21 Ofsted inspections that have taken place since 2019, 18 of these have received ‘Good’ judgements from inspectors.
A huge congratulations to Emma for this prestigious shortlisting. We look forward to attending the awards later in 2024.
