St Nicholas’ C of E Primary School, is a small village school located at the heart of Tillingham.  Located 8 miles from Burnham – on – Crouch, Tillingham is one of the ancient villages that make up the Dengie Hundred.  The village itself is clustered around the main street which is where you will find this small, friendly school.  At St Nicholas we all work together to recognise individual needs and support every child.  We firmly believe that collective worship is an integral part of our community and through it, our children develop spiritually, morally and socially.  Our class teachers are supported by an experienced team of Teaching Assistants who also take on additional responsibilities within the school. We have an efficient and dedicated team of administrative staff and a strong, supportive Local Schools Board. Outside of the school there is a very effective Parent-Teacher Association who raise funds to support our children’s experience in school as well as organise events for our children to enrich our community.

Catering Manager

Commencing September 2021

25 hours per week, term time only plus 1 week.

Scale 5, Point 8 to 11 – £20,493 – £21,748 per annum (£11,817 – £12,541 per annum actual).

St Andrew’s is a small village Church of England Primary School looking to recruit an experienced and friendly catering manager/chef to prepare 40- 60 delicious meals per day for our pupils.

This is an important role and candidates must have experience of working in a kitchen environment and be able to build a rapport with our children.

Managing a budget is a key part of the role, as is menu planning, ordering, stock management and ensuring compliance with Food Standards and food hygiene regulations. As part of our commitment to staff development, training will be available for all candidates as well as regular access to an Essex School Meals Consultant.

We believe that high quality school food is part of our whole school ethos and the post holder can expect to work as part of a committed school team.
